"This was our first time back in Destin since around 2000. The area has grown tremendously, but staying at Sandpiper cove made it not feel so crowded. The fact that the private beach is just across the street was great. The condo was nice, very clean and modern.

"This condo is a part of a large complex of two story condos covering over 40 acres of land. Great location near the beach, a marina and restaurants. The checkin process was confusing. We were told we would receive an email with checkin information but we did not. We checked in at the gate and then had to go to the rental office next day since it was Sunday and late. The only thing bad about the Condo is that the patio door was very hard to open and the blinds were old and damaged. The decor was very nice other than that.

"Water was beautiful, the condo was in a perfect spot in the complex. Really didn't care for the bunk beds in the area they were in, back sliding door needs to be tend too but in all in all it worked out. We will stay here again.

"We love Sandpiper Cove; however, I would not want to stay at unit 9240 again unless there are some changes. There are absolutely zero curtains in the master bedroom and the sun sets right into the room, coming straight through those cheap blinds. At 5 something in the morning, it’s super bright, tricking your brain it’s time to wake up. I eventually bought some foil to cover the windows, winch helped. Worst sleep ever! There were also a bunch of little roaches. Maintenance came and sprayed what they could but really had no control over the situation. They spray every Friday outside by a professional company. The trash can did not have a lid and we would wake up to a ton in there so would either have to take the trash out all the time of close the trash bag. In addition, the glass sliding door to the balcony was so hard to open. Maintenance said that the rollers most likely needed to be replaced and they would contact the owners. Lastly, this is not a unit that pays for the beach chair and umbrella rentals, so keep that in mind when you book. It’s about $50 a day for rental. The TV was messed up but maintenance took care of it quickly and put another one in the master bedroom.
The walk wasn’t bad at all. The staff is great and it’s a very short walk to the restaurant, which is a must to visit. Will definitely stay at Sandpiper Cove again because we love it; however, would not stay at this unit again until they at least get blackout curtains installed in the bedroom and fix the sliding door. Other than that, enjoyed our stay.

"The first night the fire alarm started beeping and needed a new battery. Three nights later the fire alarm went off randomly. The sliding glass door needs replaced because you could barely open it. The back patio is slanted and looks like it needs partially replaced. There is no pantry for groceries. The unit didn’t have any knives so you couldn’t cut anything. The unit didn’t come with chairs and an umbrella for the beach. We still love Sandpiper Cove and will be back, but will choose a different unit next time.

"We love staying at Sandpiper for location and security. The unit was not our absolute favorite but adequate. The paint is pretty rough and the blinds were literally falling apart. The furniture was not super comfortable either.. The unit could certainly use some updating and upgrading, but it was okay. For the rental price i would rate it about 2.5-3 stars. The price was just a bit high for the accommodations we had.
The atmosphere of Sandpiper is one we continue to come back for, some units are just better than others.. I would likely not choose this unit again unless it was updated.

"I have stayed at Sandpiper Cover several time before and have been very pleased with the rooms and amenities. However this time the unit I stayed in (9240) was not as great as the other ones I stayed in before. This unit needs some serious renovations especially in the furniture. Another dislike about the property was that they have the laundry on a limited use so we never got clean linen we had to wash our own towels and sheets everyday. Our unit was next to the main pool which was very dirty and unclean. It looked like it had not been clean in a long time the water was green. Overall the stay was good but not to the standards that we have experienced in the past here at Sandpiper Cove.

"It wasn't the rental we chose, but Britney was very accommodating and helpful so we didn't lose our trip. Considering how last minute the change was, the rental was nice. The only issues were the tub being clogged and the wifi did not work.

"We have stayed at Sandpiper Cove many times. Always a good experience. We have stayed in this condo two years in a row. It's a nice condo. It does need some remodeling. The couches are worn out. Rust is starting to show on entry door and bathroom door hinges. They've painted over rust and eventually rust bleeds through paint.

"The Unit having bunk beds for the kids was a big plus.
We come to Sandpiper cove for the option to play the Par 3 course. We have noticed the Par 3 course seems to get in rougher condition every year. We were still able to play but the greens were rough. The addition of Bocce ball court was nice. We tried to play tennis at night but the office said there was not a way to turn on the lights. Overall it was still a good experience staying in the unit at Sandpiper cove.

"We called the office twice during our stay to report problems, damaged equipment...never got a return call. Disappointed the linen/laundry service was closed. No ability to get additional toilet paper. There's an overall foul smell that comes from the septic system throughout the resort. This is probably our 6th/7th stay and it keeps getting worse.

"This unit was all I could ask for though I wish it was on first floor. It was extremely well equipped and I would suggest you go through every cupboard before buying anything. There is a vacuum but there is also an electric broom. The bed is super comfy. Everything is new. The TVs need adjusting but I made
them work, Great location for pool, jacuzzi, and the on site restaurant. As I said I would rent it again on first floor.

"I knew I was on second floor but there are 12 stairs leading up to the condo which was arduous for me. The micro wave did not work so they gave me a loaner. It took over a month to replace the full size one. One of the lamps in the living room was missing a shade. It took over a month and they finally replaced both lamps. I l liked the original lamps much better. Other minor items were taken care of in a timely fashion and done properly. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

" We had a great time at Sandpiper Cove Condominiums. Our condo had plenty of everything blankets pillows kitchen was well stocked. Everything is in good working order. We were close to the big pool with easy access to the beach. This condo is pet friendly. Nice quiet community with a par three golf course.

"Great location. Overlooks the pool. Close to restaurant. Perfect for my wife and 2 kids. My 3 yr old loved the bunk beds. Very clean. Only negative was there was no broom in the unit. Had a dustpan, but no room. 11 month old daughter was crawling all over, would have been nice to be able to sweep up. Luckily the neighbors had one. We have been going to sandpiper for years and this was our favorite condo yet.
