"This unit was right on the beach allowing easy access all day for me and my family. It was perfect for two adults and two kids. I would recommend sandpiper cove to other people visiting Destin.

Our great escape

"We loved the atmosphere, the color of the rooms, and the location in proximity to the beach.
The only thing I Would like to suggest is when walking out the restroom they have a large wall space we were all ladies I wish they had a big Wall mirror right when you walk out of the restroom.

Needs major TLC

"This condo has an excellent location but it was very dirty and rundown. The dishwasher top rack was completely rusted and unusable. The tile and baseboard were stained and broken. The couch was stained. The bathroom had mold. And there were huge nasty bugs. The deck is awesome but there was a bunch of animal poop in the back corner everywhere.

"We LOVED it! Condo was nice and perfect location. We were very comfortable there, with our dogs, and had a great patio overlooking dunes to beach. There were stains in carpet in bedroom, but we rented pet friendly, and there was never an odor, so it wasn't a problem. Bathroom sink drained real slow, leaving residue from soap/toothpaste, but no big deal. Glad there was a broom and dust pan available for quick sand clean up during stay. Furniture was clean and in good shape. Moved glass coffee table for more room. Very easy access to beach and grounds were very clean. Office staff was very nice and friendly. Very little noise heard anywhere and we had families with small children and dogs next to us. Soundproof walls were great! We didn't make it to all of the restaurants we wanted to, so we will definitely be back! Short drive to many eating destinations and grocery stores. We had a fabulous time and highly recommend. Double red flags for water & high wind conditions, so we weren't allowed in water, but that just gave us more time to enjoy sitting watching waves and eating. Rick's Sand Trap on beach was nice and great pina coladas! Food looked great and many eating.

Perfect setting, needs some TLC

"The setting of the condo could not be better! Steps from the beach, yet protected from the hot afternoon sun (due to the lower level and angle of the unit). Upon stepping inside the first thing we noticed was the smell-very musty! It was evident the whole complex needed some TLC (decks, siding, doors, etc), but this unit in particular could really use some love. There are no screens on the windows or sliding doors, so you can't have anything open to get that fresh ocean air. It could use a good cleaning, fresh coat of paint, and some newer furniture. We saw a cockroach on our kitchen floor one evening. Again, the location of the condo was so perfect, we could overlook some of these things. But it would be easy to come back with just a little love to the place!

Made the best of it!!

"I've stayed in this unit before, but this year it was dirty. the carpet needs to be shampooed and there were dead bugs around the unit. The light in the refrigerator was blown, there were no batteries in the remote for the DVD player. The batteries in the cable remote died. Neither of the televisions were programmed to work with one remote. There was no place in the shower to put your soap and shampoo had to be left on the floor. There were no additional garbage bags in the unit. Normally there are a couple extras available. I've stayed here several times over the last few years and this time was definitely the least favorite in terms of the condition of the condo. I had to clean everything before we could unpack. luckily there was a vacuum and broom. Also, the password and wifi address we were given were wrong, but we figured it out from the router. On the plus side. The a/c worked!!

"I've been to Sandpiper many times and I'm sure I'll saty again. The staff are great and the location is prime! The reason for two stars on unit #1117 is that it wasn't made clear that this unit connected to the unit next door #1118. Even though the door in the unit allowing cross-acces was locked, we had to shared with the folks next door. They were there before we were and had taken over the whole thing by the time we arrived. When we finally stepped onto the balcony, they were just as surprised to see us and moved down slightly, but were still pretty noisy. Also, the bedroom windows had no screens nor would they stay open by themselves. The point of renting beachside, for us anyway, is to enjoy listening to the waves crash while falling asleep and we couldn't do that.

"From the moment we checked in until the day we left it was like we were still at home. We had everything we needed in the condo. Soft, clean bed, hot showers, coffee in the mornings, a washer and dryer to keep our clothes clean, and much more...We enjoyed our stay there and will return the next time we come to Destin.
