"We are very familiar with properties of Sandpiper cove. This condo needs some love. The air blows great in the living room, but the vent in the bedroom barely blows. The water gets hot but the faucet in the shower must be regulated. The unit has a very nice tub, but no stopper to keep the water in! It does have brand new furniture throughout. The mattress was very uncomfortable. We love Sandpiper, but this unit is not up to the standards we expect.

"The unit was well described and was perfect for our family of four. The par 3 golf course (all holes 62 yards or under) was very challenging. Played it many times and didn’t disappoint. Walk or drive to the beach is perfect. The unit itself had all that you need.

"Perfect location & price. Sandpiper has the Best restaurant! We loved the private beach! No long walk, they allow personal canapés/umbrellas but also have them available for rent. There was also a bar/food at our beach. We can’t wait to go back and stay at these condos.

Quick get away.

"The property was nice and easy to get to. About a 6 min. walk to the beach. The Queen size bed was comfortable. I don't recommend this bed for two large people. The sofa bed in the living room (queen), was easy to pull out. our fiend put a blowup mattress on it and said that they slept well. The shower was large and had plenty of hot water. new refrigerator. Lots of cup's bowels and plates. the draws in the kitchen need work. They need new rails. This unit shows some age but was ok for us. We didn't need a lot of luxury. We came for the beach. which was great. I would rent this unit again.

"Not our dream vacation. First condo floor needed a deep cleaning. It took us two days. Couch made noises every time you sat on it. Very uncomfortable. Rugs dirty. No vacuum on floor quick vac. Had to buy mop other too dirty. Cockroaches. We left two days early.

Very Good Short Spring Stay

"I have been coming to Destin for over 20 years and decided to give Sandpiper Cove a try based on a friend's recommendation. I found the reservation process very user friendly and made 3 phone contacts seeking information prior to reaching a decision and making a reservation 2 days before I arrived. Very easy check-in procedure and Unit 1035 was as clean as any condo I have ever stayed. The property is not new, but the furnishings, show evidence of renovation and maintenance that make it cheery. Plenty of chairs and lamps and the kitchen utensils and tools were much more than I ever needed. Internet was actually fantastic in every respect after Cox provided a new wireless router to replace the existing one after my first night in the unit. The only real problem, and I pointed it out to the office rep, was the need for a visit by a plumber at some point to check out two sluggish drains and the very slow re-fill of the tank on the toilet if a second flush is necessary. It worked during my stay, but could be an issue at some point.

"Nothing special. Room was clean. Bed wasn't comfortable. Street lights shine in all night. The beach is small and crowded. The 9 hole golf course, if you can call it that, has to be the World's Smallest Golf Course. Make sure to bring everything you need, as there are no amenities (i.e. no beach gear, coffee, soap, shampoo). They get very aggravated if you ask for additional towels. It is livable, but nothing special.

"Clean and comfortable and so was the bed. Sandpiper did send us a letter saying possible construction . We were there all of Jan & Feb. A new deck got put on, new siding, and a new roof. So lots of construction went on every single day. We had to call Sandpiper 3 times to fix things and they came right away they were very good. There is one more thing they need to fix. A cut in the wall in the living room when the saw came right through the wall during construction. i would recommend this unit

"My wife and I loved the resort! Everything went smoothly from checking in to checking out and everything in between! We felt very safe with the 24 hour onsite security as well as cared for with all of the questions we had with our unit. At one point the owner in the upstairs unit was being very loud so we called security (after hours) and they came right away to reslove the issue. Come to find out the owner wasn't home, but we were told that if we had any other issues to call them back to come out. The unit was also in very good clean condition and we loved the fact that it was close to everything. We will most definetly be back to the resort when we come back to Destin.

A Great Place to Stay

"My family came with me while I was on a company trip to Destin and we had a great time at Sandpiper Cove.

This condo was great because it was 1min walk to the pool, so my wife and kids could go for a quick swim without having to pack them into a car to go somewhere.

You can also walk through Louisiana Lagniappe Restaraunt and grab a water-taxi at the dock to other parts of Destin. That was a lot of fun since you don't have to drive if you don't want to.

The condo was clean and neat, and the staff was extremely professional and polite.

Of course, when you come to Destin you're usually not there to stay in your condo all day, but I'd definitely stay in this condo again.

"We have stayed in a few different condos at Sand Piper Cove and love the property and the staff. Megan is always very helpful. This condo was in a great location and the kitchen was well equipped. The only thing that this condo was missing was a washer and dryer. We had a great stay and we will be back in October.

"Sandpiper Cove is a lovely place to stay. The children had a great time and were never bored fishing, playing on the beach, golfing and just running around. Great place. However, the unit kitchen was a little tired and didn't feel clean. It also smelled like mildew or a bit like cigarette smoke.
